மாயக்காரர்களாகிய வேதபண்டிதர்களே! பரிசேயர்களே! உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ, உணவு மற்றும் தண்ணீர் பாத்திரங்களின் வெளிப்புறத்தைச் சுத்தமாக்குகிறீர்கள்; உட்புறத்திலோ அவைகள் கொள்ளையினாலும் அநீதத்தினாலும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
