பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களும் மூப்பர்களும் சங்கத்தினர்கள் அனைவரும் இயேசுவைக் கொலைசெய்யும்படி அவருக்கு விரோதமாகப் பொய்ச்சாட்சி தேடினார்கள்;

Now the chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were seeking false testimony against Jesus in order to put Him to death.
