நான் உன்னைப் பாழாகவும் உன் குடிகளை ஈசலிட்டு நிந்திக்கிற நிந்தையாகவும் வைக்கும்படி, உம்ரியினுடைய கட்டளைகளும் ஆகாப் வீட்டாருடைய அனைத்துச் செய்கைகளும் கைக்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வருகிறது; அவர்களுடைய ஆலோசனைகளிலே நடக்கிறீர்கள்; ஆகையால் என் மக்களின் நிந்தையைச் சுமப்பீர்கள்.

You have kept the statutes of Omri and all the practices of Ahab’s house; you have followed their counsel. Therefore I will make you a desolation, and your inhabitants an object of contempt; you will bear the scorn of the nations.”
