ஆகையால் ஓய்வுநாளுக்கு முன்னே எருசலேமின் பட்டணவாசலில் மாலைமறையும்போது, கதவுகளைப் பூட்டவும் ஓய்வுநாள் முடியும்வரை அவைகளைத் திறக்காமல் இருக்கவும் வேண்டுமென்று கட்டளையிட்டு ஓய்வுநாளிலே ஒரு சுமையும் உள்ளே வராமல் வாசலருகில் என்னுடைய வேலைக்காரர்களில் சிலரை நிறுத்தினேன்.

When the evening shadows began to fall on the gates of Jerusalem, just before the Sabbath, I ordered that the gates be shut and not opened until after the Sabbath. I posted some of my servants at the gates so that no load could enter on the Sabbath day.
