நீ எவ்வளவாகச் சங்கரிக்கப்பட்டுப்போனாய்! திருடர்களோ, இரவில் கொள்ளையடிக்கிறவர்களோ உன்னிடத்தில் வந்தால், தங்களுக்குப் போதுமானஅளவு திருடுவார்கள் அல்லவோ? திராட்சைப்பழங்களை அறுக்கிறவர்கள் உன்னிடத்தில் வந்தால், சில பழங்களை விட்டுவிடுவார்கள் அல்லவோ?

“If thieves came to you, if robbers by night— oh, how you will be ruined— would they not steal only what they wanted? If grape gatherers came to you, would they not leave some gleanings?
