என்னுடைய எதிரிகளாகிய அனைவர் நிமித்தமும், நான் என் அயலாருக்கு நிந்தையும், எனக்கு அறிமுகமானவர்களுக்கு அலட்சியமுமானேன்; வீதியிலே என்னைக் கண்டவர்கள் எனக்கு விலகி ஓடிப்போனார்கள்.

Among all my enemies I am a disgrace, and among my neighbors even more. I am dreaded by my friends— they flee when they see me on the street.
