Ahiezer, the son of Ammishaddai, was a prominent leader from the tribe of Dan during the Israelites' journey through the wilderness. He was appointed by God as the head of his tribe and played a significant role in the census and organization of the Israelite camp. (Num.1.12; 2.25) Ahiezer's tribe was positioned on the north side of the tabernacle, along with the tribes of Asher and Naphtali. (Num.2.25) He presented his tribe's offering at the dedication of the tabernacle, which included a silver plate, a silver basin, and various animals for sacrifice. (Num.7.66,71) As a tribal leader, Ahiezer was responsible for leading the Danites in their journey and ensuring their obedience to God's commands. (Num.10.25)
