Shuah is mentioned in Gen.25.2 and 1Ch.1.32 as one of the sons of Abraham and his second wife, Keturah. After the death of Sarah, Abraham took Keturah as his wife, and she bore him six sons, including Shuah. These sons were sent away with gifts to the east, away from Abraham's son Isaac, to whom he gave his main inheritance. Shuah's descendants formed a tribe, although no further details about their history or location are provided in the biblical text.
