Zedekiah was a son of Jeconiah (also known as Jehoiachin), the king of Judah who was deported to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar. He is mentioned in the genealogy of the kings of Judah in 1 Chronicles. Zedekiah had a brother named Assir.
