Samuel’s Farewell Address

Then Samuel said to all Israel, “I have listened to your voice in all that you have said to me, and I have set over you a king. 1Sa 10:241Sa 11:14-151Sa 10:11Sa 8:19-221Sa 8:5-8 Now here is the king walking before you, and I am old and gray, and my sons are here with you. I have walked before you from my youth until this day. 1Sa 8:51Sa 8:11Sa 8:201Sa 3:19-201Sa 8:3Num 27:171Sa 2:221Sa 2:29

Here I am. Bear witness against me before the LORD and before His anointed: Whose ox or donkey have I taken? Whom have I cheated or oppressed? From whose hand have I accepted a bribe and closed my eyes? Tell me, and I will restore it 1to you.” Act 20:33Num 16:151Pe 5:21Sa 24:6Deu 16:191Sa 10:11Sa 12:51Th 2:10

“You have not wronged us or oppressed us,” they replied, “nor have you taken anything from the hand of man.” 3Jn 1:12Dan 6:4Psa 37:5-6

Samuel said to them, “The LORD is a witness against you, and His anointed is a witness today, that you have not found anything in my hand.” Exo 22:4Act 23:9Act 24:201Co 4:42Co 1:121Sa 26:9Act 24:16Jhn 18:38

Then Samuel said to the people, “The LORD is the One who 2appointed Moses and Aaron, and who brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt. Isa 1:18Act 17:3Ezk 18:25-30Isa 5:3-4Mic 6:1-5Jdg 5:11

When Jacob went to Egypt, 3 your fathers cried out to the LORD, and He sent them Moses and Aaron, who brought your fathers out of Egypt and settled them in this place. Then they cried out to the LORD and said, ‘We have sinned, for we have forsaken the LORD and served the Baals and Ashtoreths. Now deliver us from the hands of our enemies, that we may serve You.’ Jdg 10:10Jdg 2:13Jdg 10:15-16Jdg 3:7Jdg 3:91Sa 7:22Co 5:14-15Isa 26:16

So the LORD sent Jerubbaal, 5 Barak, 6 Jephthah, and Samuel, 7 and He delivered you from the hands of your enemies on every side, and you dwelt securely.
