(Luke 1:1–4)
In my first book, O Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach, Luk 1:3Luk 24:19Mat 4:23-24Luk 3:231Pe 2:21-23Jhn 10:32-38Jhn 18:19-21Luk 7:21-23 until the day He was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles He had chosen. So when they came together, they asked Him, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” Luk 19:11Luk 17:20Dan 7:27Mat 24:3Ezk 37:24-27Isa 9:6-7Jer 23:5-6Jer 33:15-17
Jesus replied, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by His own authority. Matthias Replaces Judas
Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, which is near the city, a Sabbath day’s journey away. 3 Luk 24:52Mat 21:1Luk 24:50Luk 21:37Mat 24:3Mat 26:30Zec 14:4Jhn 11:18 When they arrived, they went to the upper room where they were staying: Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. (Now with the reward for his wickedness Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong and burst open in the middle, and all his intestines spilled out. Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have accompanied us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, Jhn 15:27Luk 10:1-22Sa 5:2Deu 31:2Jhn 10:1-9Num 27:171Ki 3:7 beginning from John’s baptism until the day Jesus was taken up from us. So they proposed two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. Act 15:22Act 1:26 And they prayed, “Lord, You know everyone’s heart.
