The Lamb and the 144,000

Then I looked and saw the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him 144,000 who had His name and His Father’s name written on their foreheads. Jol 2:32Rev 3:12Rev 7:3-17Luk 12:8Heb 12:22-24Rev 5:5-9Mic 4:7Rev 5:12-13 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of many waters and the loud rumbling of thunder. And the sound I heard was like harpists strumming their harps. Rev 5:8Ezk 43:2Rev 1:15Rev 11:15Rev 15:22Sa 6:5Exo 19:16Psa 150:3-6

And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. And no one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. Rev 5:9Rev 14:1Rev 15:3Isa 42:10Psa 149:1Psa 98:1Psa 40:3Rev 2:17 These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they are virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They have been redeemed from among men as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. 2Co 11:2Rev 3:4Jas 1:18Jhn 10:27Jhn 12:26Rev 5:91Co 6:20Rev 7:15-17 And no lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless. 1 Eph 5:27Psa 32:2Zep 3:131Pe 3:10Jhn 1:47Jud 1:24Col 1:22Psa 34:13

The Three Angels and Babylon’s Fall

Then I saw another angel flying overhead, with the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation and tribe and tongue and people. Mrk 16:15Eph 3:9-11Rev 8:13Psa 139:24Isa 51:6Isa 51:8Rom 16:25Dan 6:25-26 And he said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. Worship the One who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and the springs of waters.” Exo 20:11Rev 15:4Neh 9:6Rev 4:11Rev 11:18Ecc 12:13-14Psa 146:5-6Act 17:23-25

Then a second angel followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, 2 who has made all the nations drink the wine of the passion of her immorality.” Isa 21:9Jer 51:7-8Rev 18:2-3Rev 16:19Rev 11:8Rev 17:18Rev 17:2-6Rev 18:10-11

And a third angel followed them, calling out in a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image, and receives its mark on his forehead or on his hand, Rev 14:11Rev 14:6-8Jer 44:4Rev 13:3-6Rev 13:11-17 he too will drink the wine of God’s anger, poured undiluted into the cup of His wrath. And he will be tormented in fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. Isa 51:17Psa 75:8Rev 16:19Jer 25:15-17Psa 11:6Rev 18:6Rev 19:20Rev 20:10 And the smoke of their torment rises forever and ever. Day and night there is no rest for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” Isa 34:10Rev 19:3Mat 25:46Mat 25:41Rev 20:10Isa 33:14Luk 16:23-24Mrk 9:43-49

Here is a call for the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Rev 13:10Rev 12:17Rev 3:102Ti 4:7Rev 3:8

And I heard a voice from heaven telling me to write, “Blessed are the dead—those who die in the Lord from this moment on.” Rev 20:61Th 5:102Ti 4:7-8Heb 4:9-111Co 15:58Heb 6:10-11Rev 19:91Th 4:16

“Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labors, for their deeds will follow them.”

The Harvest of the Earth

And I looked and saw a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was One like the Son of Man, 3 with a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand. Dan 7:13Isa 19:1Heb 2:9Luk 21:27Mat 17:5Psa 21:3Psa 97:2Rev 1:13

Then another angel came out of the temple, crying out in a loud voice to the One seated on the cloud, “Swing Your sickle and reap, because the time has come to harvest; for the crop of the earth is ripe.” Jol 3:13Mrk 4:29Jer 51:33Mat 13:39Mat 13:30Rev 14:181Th 2:16Mat 23:32 So the One seated on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested. Mat 16:27Rev 14:14Rev 14:19Rev 16:1-21Jhn 5:22-23

Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. Rev 16:1Rev 14:14-15Rev 14:18Rev 15:5-6 Still another angel, with authority over the fire, came from the altar and called out in a loud voice to the angel with the sharp sickle, “Swing your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the vine of the earth, because its grapes are ripe.” Jol 3:13Rev 16:8Rev 14:15-16Rev 6:9-10

So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and gathered the grapes of the earth, and he threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath. Deu 32:32-33Rev 19:15-21 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and the blood that flowed from it rose as high as the bridles of the horses for a distance of 1,600 stadia. 4 Lam 1:15Heb 13:11-12Isa 63:1-3Rev 19:14-21Isa 66:24Rev 11:8Ezk 39:17-21Isa 34:5-7
