Paseah was the ancestor of a family of temple servants (Nethinim) that returned to Judah from Babylonian exile, according to Ezr.2.49 and Neh.7.51. The temple servants were a group of people assigned to assist the Levites in the work of the temple. Paseah's descendants were among those who returned to Jerusalem and Judah to rebuild the temple and restore worship there after the Babylonian captivity ended in 539 BC.
