The Soul Who Sins Will Die
Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “What do you people mean by quoting this proverb about the land of Israel: Jer 31:29-30Lam 5:7Ezk 37:11Ezk 37:19Ezk 17:12Ezk 37:25Isa 3:15Ezk 25:3
‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes,
and the teeth of the children are set on edge’?
As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, you will no longer quote this proverb in Israel. Ezk 18:19-20Ezk 18:30Ezk 33:11-20Ezk 36:31-32Rom 3:19 Behold, every soul belongs to Me; both father and son are Mine. The soul who sins is the one who will die. That man is righteous;

Such a man will not die for his father’s iniquity. He will surely live.
As for his father, he will die for his own iniquity, because he practiced extortion, robbed his brother, and did what was wrong among his people. Ezk 3:18Ezk 18:20Ezk 18:24Ezk 18:26Ezk 18:4Isa 3:11Jhn 8:21Jhn 8:24

The soul who sins is the one who will die. A son will not bear the iniquity of his father, and a father will not bear the iniquity of his son.
