Woe to David’s City

Year upon year
let your festivals recur.
And I will constrain Ariel, Isa 5:25-30Ezk 22:31Ezk 39:17Isa 10:32Isa 10:5-6Isa 17:14Isa 24:1-12Isa 3:26

and set up siege works against you.
You will be brought low, Isa 8:19Psa 44:25Isa 3:8Isa 2:11-21Isa 51:23Lam 1:9
you will speak from the ground,
and out of the dust
your words will be muffled.
Your voice will be like a spirit from the ground;
your speech will whisper out of the dust.
But your many foes will be like fine dust, 1Th 5:3Isa 30:13Isa 37:36Isa 17:13-14Isa 31:3Isa 10:16-19Isa 25:5Isa 31:8

going out to battle against Ariel—
even all who war against her,

will be like a dream,

So will it be for all the many nations
who go to battle against Mount Zion.

He has shut your eyes, O prophets;
He has covered your heads, O seers.
And the entire vision will be to you like the words sealed in a scroll.
