and leaps from its place.

Listen closely to the thunder of His voice Job 36:33Job 37:5Exo 19:16-19Job 38:1Psa 104:7Psa 29:3-9Job 36:29

and the rumbling that comes from His mouth.

He unleashes His lightning beneath the whole sky Job 38:13Mat 24:27Isa 11:12Psa 97:4Psa 77:13Rev 11:19

and sends it to the ends of the earth.

Then there comes a roaring sound; Psa 29:3-9Psa 68:33Deu 33:26Exo 15:7-8Job 36:27-33

He thunders with His majestic voice.

He does not restrain the lightning

when His voice resounds.

God thunders wondrously with His voice; Job 5:9Rom 11:33Ecc 3:11Isa 40:28Job 9:10Job 26:14Job 36:26Rev 15:3

He does great things we cannot comprehend.

For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ Job 36:27Job 38:22Ezk 13:13Psa 147:16-18Amo 9:6Ezk 13:11Ezr 10:13Ezr 10:9

and to the gentle rain, ‘Pour out a mighty downpour.’

He seals up the hand of every man, Psa 111:2Psa 109:27Ecc 8:17Isa 26:11Isa 5:12Job 12:14Job 36:24Job 5:12

so that all men may know His work.

The wild animals enter their lairs; Psa 104:22Job 38:40

they settle down in their dens.

The tempest comes from its chamber, Job 9:9Isa 21:1Psa 104:3Job 38:1Zec 9:14

and the cold from the driving north winds.

By the breath of God the ice is formed Job 38:29-30Psa 147:16-18Psa 78:47

and the watery expanses are frozen.

He loads the clouds with moisture; Job 36:27-30Isa 18:4Job 36:32Mat 17:5

He scatters His lightning through them.

They swirl about, Psa 148:8Jas 5:17-18Jol 2:23Psa 104:24Amo 4:7Jer 14:22Psa 65:9-10Rev 11:6

whirling at His direction,

accomplishing all that He commands

over the face of all the earth.

Whether for punishment or for His land, 1Ki 18:451Sa 12:18-19Job 38:26-27Job 36:312Sa 21:10Exo 9:18-25Ezr 10:9Job 37:6

He accomplishes this in His loving devotion.

Listen to this, O Job; Exo 14:13Psa 111:2Psa 145:10-12Hab 2:20Job 36:24Psa 145:5-6Job 26:6-14Psa 46:10

stand still and consider the wonders of God.

Do you know how God dispatches the clouds Isa 40:26Job 36:30-32Job 37:11Job 38:4-41Job 28:24-27Job 34:13Psa 119:90-91

or makes the lightning flash?

Do you understand how the clouds float, Job 36:4Isa 40:22Jer 10:12-13Job 36:29Pro 3:19-20Job 26:8Psa 104:2-3Psa 104:24

those wonders of Him who is perfect in knowledge?

You whose clothes get hot Job 38:31Job 6:17Luk 12:55Psa 147:18

when the land lies hushed under the south wind,

can you, like Him, spread out the skies Isa 44:24Psa 104:2Exo 38:8Isa 40:22Gen 1:6-8Isa 40:12Job 9:8-9Pro 8:27

to reflect the heat like a mirror of bronze?

Teach us what we should say to Him; 1Co 13:121Jn 3:2Job 12:3Job 13:3Job 13:6Job 26:14Job 28:20-21Job 38:2

we cannot draw up our case when our faces are in darkness.

Should He be told that I want to speak? Job 11:7-8Job 6:3Mat 12:36-37Psa 139:4

Would a man ask to be swallowed up 1?

Now no one can gaze at the sun Job 26:9Job 36:32Job 38:25

after the wind has swept them clean.

Out of the north He comes in golden splendor; Psa 104:1Heb 12:29Jud 1:251Ch 29:11Hab 3:3-19Heb 1:3Job 40:10Nam 1:3

awesome majesty surrounds Him.

The Almighty is beyond our reach; 1Ti 6:16Rom 11:33Job 36:5Lam 3:32-33Psa 99:4Job 9:4Ezk 18:23Ezk 18:32

He is exalted in power!

In His justice and great righteousness

He does not oppress.

Therefore, men fear Him, Mat 10:281Co 1:26Isa 5:21Job 5:13Mat 11:25-26Psa 130:4Rom 2:41Co 3:19
