The Temptation of Jesus

Jesus Begins His Ministry

(Isaiah 9:1–7; Mark 1:14–15; Luke 4:14–15)

When Jesus heard that John had been imprisoned, He withdrew to Galilee. The First Disciples

(Mark 1:16–20; Luke 5:1–11; John 1:35–42)

As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. Jesus Heals the Multitudes

(Mark 3:7–12; Luke 6:17–19)

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.
