O Daughter of Chaldea.
For you will no longer be called
the queen of kingdoms.
I was angry with My people; 2Ch 28:9Zec 1:15Deu 28:50Oba 1:10Jas 2:13Psa 69:26Isa 10:6Isa 14:17
I profaned My heritage,

You showed them no mercy;
even on the elderly you laid a most heavy yoke.

You did not take these things to heart
or consider their outcome.
So now hear this, Isa 32:9Zep 2:15Isa 47:10Isa 45:6Jer 50:11Rev 18:3-82Th 2:4Dan 11:36
O lover of luxury who sits securely,
who says to herself,
‘I am, and there is none besides me.
I will never be a widow
or know the loss of children.’
These two things will overtake you in a moment, 1Th 5:3Psa 73:19Isa 47:12-13Nam 3:4Rev 18:8-10Dan 2:2Dan 4:7Dan 5:7
in a single day:
loss of children, and widowhood.
They will come upon you in full measure,
in spite of your many sorceries
and the potency of your spells.
You were secure in your wickedness; Isa 5:21Rom 1:22Isa 29:15Psa 52:7Ezk 8:12Isa 59:41Co 3:19Jer 23:24
you said, ‘No one sees me.’
Your wisdom and knowledge led you astray;
you told yourself, ‘I am, and there is none besides me.’
But disaster will come upon you; 1Th 5:3Rev 18:9-10Dan 5:25-30Exo 12:29-30Jer 51:39-42Luk 12:59Neh 4:11Psa 50:22
you will not know how to charm it away.
A calamity will befall you
that you will be unable to ward off.
Devastation will happen to you
suddenly and unexpectedly.
So take your stand with your spells Act 13:8-12Isa 47:9-10Jer 2:28Nam 3:4Dan 5:7-9Exo 7:11Exo 8:18-19Exo 8:7
and with your many sorceries,
with which you have wearied yourself
from your youth.
Perhaps you will succeed;
perhaps you will inspire terror!
You are wearied by your many counselors; Isa 44:25Dan 2:2-10Ezk 24:12Isa 57:10Jer 51:58Dan 5:15-16Dan 5:30Dan 5:7-8
let them come forward now and save you—
your astrologers who observe the stars,
who monthly predict your fate.
Surely they are like stubble; Mal 4:1Nam 1:10Ezk 15:7Isa 10:17Isa 41:2Mat 10:28Isa 30:14Isa 40:24
the fire will burn them up.
They cannot deliver themselves
from the power of the flame.
There will be no coals to warm them
or fire to sit beside.
This is what they are to you— Ezk 27:12-25Isa 56:11Jer 51:6-9Rev 18:11-19
those with whom you have labored and traded from youth—
each one strays in his own direction;
not one of them can save you.
